THERAPY
Therapy Changes Lives
Alan's progress is built one exercise, one flight and one two-week camp at a time — with parents who never sit on the sidelines.
We give Alan the very best physiotherapy we can find — regular two-week intensive camps at the best rehabilitation centres in Poland.
Flying with Alan is never easy — the logistics, the equipment, the fear of a seizure at 30,000 feet. And yet, together, we have already completed more than 17 camps.
Present at every single session
Between camps we often have 6 to 8 weeks with no specialist support. So during each camp we do something very few parents do — we stay in the room for 100% of Alan's therapy sessions.
This is honestly the only chance we get for a few free hours — Alan could be 1:1 with his physiotherapist while we rest. But rest is not on our minds. Here we watch, we ask, we take notes, and we implement every technique so we can practise with Alan at home. So that every bit of progress he made during the camp is not lost.
A wide spectrum of therapies
We want Alan to have access to everything modern rehabilitation can offer.
- Speech therapy: supporting communication, feeding and swallowing.
- Hydrotherapy: warm water reduces tension and lets Alan move freely.
- Sensory integration: helping Alan receive and understand the world around him.
- Movement physiotherapy: including Lokomat — the robotic gait trainer that makes walking practice possible.
- Always searching: we constantly read, research and check what is new on the market and what could help Alan next.
We will keep searching for new, best solutions in physiotherapy, learning and practising at home — for as long as it takes.
